Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United all hold an interested in rising Lille star Lucas Digne, according to French sports daily L’Equipe.

The 19-year-old is a product of the Ligue 1 side’s youth academy and has begun to make his presence, and potential, known at the club.

Coach Rudi Garcia handed the left-back his senior debut last season and Digne clocked up 16 appearances.

This season Digne is set to play an even bigger part in Lille’s Ligue 1 campaign as he is gradually handed more playing time to speed up his development.

Already the 19-year-old has featured in all four of Lille’s top flight matches in the current season, while he also played in both of the side’s Champions League qualifiers, scoring once – his talents have not gone unnoticed.

It is then little surprise that Digne has begun to attract attention from some of the biggest clubs in world football, with scouts paying particular attention to the left-back’s progress at the Grand Stade de Lille.

Lille will not want to lose their starlet so soon however and are sure to stand firm if Chelsea, who bought Eden Hazard from the club in the summer, Manchester City or Manchester United make an approach.

And the 2011 French champions will have their position bolstered by Digne’s contract situation – the left-back is under lock and key with Lille until 2016.

Digne is also capable of operating further up the pitch, as a wing-back or left-sided midfielder.
