Newcastle United full-back Davide Santon has admitted that his side face a tough game tonight.

The Magpies travel to Goodison Park to face Everton in a mouthwatering Premier League fixture which pits two sides with European ambitions for the season against each other.

Everton have already shown their power on home turf, beating Manchester United in their opening Premier League match of the season, while Newcastle’s squad only looks stronger than last year, when they put in a serious challenge for a top four Champions League spot.

The stage is set then and Italian defender Santon expects nothing less than a very tough match.

"This is a really important game for us because last time, a draw at home against Aston Villa was not fantastic, said Santon, to his club’s official site.

"We want to win because this year we want to stay in a good position again, and get into Europe again, but we know Everton is a difficult game.

"Last year we lost there and so we know that Everton are a good team.

"But we will go to Everton not for a draw, not for a loss, but for a win. We will be positive."
