Lazio believe they have identified the way in which they must play to beat Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League tonight.

The Serie A giants travel to White Hart Lane with claiming what could be a vital three points on their mind and boosted by coach Vladimir Petkovic, who has told his men exactly how they must play in England.

relatedNewsStory Petkovic has visited White Hart Lane before, as boss of Swiss Super League side Young Boys, and knows what to expect from Andre Villas-Boas’ men.

The Bosnian tactician was appointed Lazio coach in the summer and has already made a positive impact at the Rome giants.

And Petkovic is sure he knows what is needed against Spurs.

Speaking in an interview with Inside Futbol, Petkovic said "We must be both mentally and physically strong.

"We must cope with tough tackles, which are the trademarks of English football.

"You can play smart and fast football, but you can’t win at White Hart Lane if you are not physically prepared to win the battles on the pitch."

It remains to be seen whether Lazio can put Petkovic’s instructions into action, but the Italian giants are considered Tottenham’s biggest threat in a Europa League group which includes Panathinaikos and NK Maribor.
