Karim Benzema has insisted he feels in good form ahead of Real Madrid’s La Liga clash against Deportivo La Coruna at the Bernabeu this evening.

Barcelona beat Sevilla 3-2 in La Liga last night, something which has piled more pressure on Real Madrid not to lose further ground when facing newly promoted Deportivo.

And the Frenchman believes he is getting better as the season progresses.

"I’ve felt very good in recent games", Benzema told Spanish daily AS.

"I’ve noticed that I’ve progressed and my legs have responded better.


"The two full games I played with the France team have been beneficial."

Benzema has made five La Liga appearances for Real Madrid so far this season, finding the back of the net once.

Last season the 24-year-old scored 21 goals in 34 La Liga games; figures he will hope to improve upon in the current campaign.
