Holland legend Ruud Gullit believes there are only three "super-superstars" in world football today – Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.

Gullit was giving his opinion on Germany midfielder Mesut Ozil ahead of the friendly clash between Germany and Holland next week and musing upon the fact that, while both teams have excellent players, neither possesses a true super-superstar of the game.

"There are good players, very good players, some excellent and exactly three stars", Gullit told German daily Bild.

"My stars are only Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar."

On Ozil, the former Chelsea manager commented that he is "technically perfect, the ball obeys him."

Indeed, Gullit would like Ozil to be wearing a Holland shirt, saying "with his passing game he would be perfect for us".

The Dutchman also expressed his admiration for another of Germany’s crop of young talents – Marco Reus.

relatedNewsStory"Marco Reus is a great player", said Gullit.

"But not a super-superstar."
