French midfielder Moussa Sissoko is prepared to consider playing in any league if he leaves Toulouse, with no clear preference over his destination.

The 23-year-old is a wanted man with his contract at Toulouse set to expire next summer and the suitors for his signature are piling up.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have been strongly linked with launching a bid for Sissoko, while Juventus are also believed to be hot on the player's tail. In his native France there is interest too, from Lyon and Lille.

Recently though, new names have emerged in the race for the energetic midfielder, with another English side, Newcastle United and wealthy Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala, mooted as wanting to snap him up. Indeed, the player has a multitude of options.

And all this while Toulouse are frantically trying to convince Sissoko to sign a new deal, although that looks unlikely.

As for where he might head though, Sissoko is keeping a very open mind.

"I have not decided what I will do", he told Calcio Mercato.

"I am in the reflective phase."

He also claimed to be unaware of interest from, specifically, Anzhi Makhachkala, Newcastle and Juventus, but stressed he is not discounting clubs based on league.

"Juve, Newcastle and Anzhi interested in me? I don't know anything about this, but I don't have a preference for one type of league.

"Historically, Italy and England are among the best, but just to be clear, I wouldn't have any problem playing in Russia."

Sissoko's words may encourage Anzhi Makhachkala, who could surely offer the midfielder a lucrative contract if he agreed to ply his trade in the Russian Premier League.

So far this season he has made eleven appearances for Toulouse in Ligue 1.
