Josep Guardiola’s agent has stressed that his client will only start to think about at which club he might return to the game with in January or February.

The Spaniard, who ended a hugely successful four-year stint in charge of Catalan giants Barcelona at the end of last season, is currently taking a break from the game and has relocated to New York with his family to escape the constant pressure of football.

Guardiola will return to the dugout for the right club, but only next year, when he has had 12 months of rest.

He has been strongly linked with Chelsea, who recently sacked Roberto Di Matteo. But, still unavailable due to his desire to take time out, the Blues were forced to look elsewhere, and appointed former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez.

And Guardiola will only start to think of his return in the new year; at present he is recharging his batteries.

"I was with him two weeks ago and he told me he will not take any decision until January or February", Guardiola’s agent Jose Maria Orobitg told Brazilian daily Lance.

"Currently he is with his family.
