Harry Redknapp has picked his ultimate dream team, surprisingly leaving out Cristiano Ronaldo, while there is a place in the line-up for Gareth Bale.

The 65-year-old tactician, who has just been appointed as QPR’s new manager, predictably chose Lionel Messi up front, but paired him with Atletico Madrid marksman Radamel Falcao, when he could have selected Ronaldo.

Equally, Redknapp could have picked the Portuguese on the right wing, but opted for Brazilian sensation Neymar, or the left wing, where he wasted little time in naming Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale as his choice instead.

The former Portsmouth manager explained that he had picked an attacking 4-4-2 line-up, with the emphasis on scoring goals.
