Barcelona beat Levante 4-0 in La Liga last night with a starting eleven which contained ten players formed in the club’s La Masia youth academy.
Of the side named by coach Tito Vilanova, only Dani Alves was not developed in Barcelona’s famous La Masia school.
The victory moves Barcelona eleven points clear of Real Madrid at the summit of La Liga, casting serious doubt on Los Blancos’ ability to retain their title.
Barcelona had to wait until the second half to take the lead against Levante though, with Lionel Messi opening the scoring in the 47th minute.
The Argentine then notched his second five minutes later, before Andres Iniesta added a third.
Cesc Fabregas then completed the rout, scoring in the 63rd minute.
Barcelona’s La Masia dominated starting eleven was: Victor Valdes, Dani Alves, Carles Puyol, Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Pedro, Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas.
