Former AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf expects Juventus to be the team to beat in Italy for the next "five or six years".

Seedorf ended a 13-season stint in Serie A, which took in spells at Inter and Milan, this summer, when he departed the Rossoneri to join Brazilian outfit Botafogo.

The 36-year-old Dutchman has continued to keep a close eye on events back in Italy however and has been very impressed with Juventus.

And he considers the current Italian champions to have the infrastructure and set-up to be in the driving seat for quite some time to come.

"Juventus are the team to beat for the next five or six years", Seedorf told Sky Sport Italia.

"Important for them was the construction of the new stadium", he continued.

"This has given them a huge advantage over the rest."

The midfielder then focused his attention on one of his former clubs, Inter, who have improved under Andrea Stramaccioni to become one of the biggest threats to Juventus’ crown this season.

"They have surprised me", Seedorf admitted.

"Much has changed there.

"But the right decisions have been taken.

"Moreover, they are having a bit of luck."
