Anderlecht midfielder Lucas Biglia has admitted he is looking to move from the Belgian giants in January and is hopeful that a club will pay the €8M asking price which has been slapped on his head.

Biglia was expected to move during the summer transfer window, with interest from Arsenal and Manchester United, in addition to Fiorentina and Real Madrid, having been confirmed by the Argentine’s agent.

Anderlecht managed to keep hold of Biglia though, even if they did quickly admit that he could be sold in January 2013.

Now, while Biglia is focusing on Anderlecht’s Champions League clash against Malaga this evening, he has also begun to think about next month’s transfer window, when he hopes offers will arrive which the Belgian giants find acceptable.

"I’m here to play Malaga and I’ll only think about [a transfer] afterwards", he told a press conference.

Asked about the €8M fee which Anderlecht are demanding for his services, Biglia said: "I know that this is too much.

"I just hope that there will be a club that comes with €8M.

"If I go in January, it is better [than next summer]. But as I have already said, my head is here for six games."

The 26-year-old then reaffirmed his desire only to leave to move to play in one of Europe’s biggest leagues.

"I’m only interested in the big leagues. Britain [sic], Spain or Italy, they are no problem."

Biglia is expected to have a further chance to showcase his abilities in the Champions League this evening.

The pass-master, who also boasts Italian nationality in addition to Argentine, making a move within the EU straightforward, has played in all five of Anderlecht’s Champions League group games so far.

He is under contract in Brussels until 2015.
