Brazilian consulting firm Pluri has announced a list of the 60 most valuable players in the world, according to their calculations, with little surprise about the names in the top ten.

Lionel Messi heads the list, with the Barcelona star rated at £115M on current exchange rates. Second is his long-time rival Cristiano Ronaldo, who commands a value of £80M, while making up the top three is Andres Iniesta, with the Barcelona midfielder rated at £56M.



The first player from outside La Liga enters the list at number four, with Manchester United star Wayne Rooney rated at £50M.

Only the six most valuable player plies his trade outside Europe, with Neymar given the value of £45M.
