Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic has dismissed talk that he could leave La Viola for the English Premier League.

Jovetic has been linked with a number of clubs from England, with Arsenal and Chelsea classed as suitors, while Manchester City have admitted tracking the talented Montenegrin.

But Jovetic is happy at Fiorentina and, were he to decide to quit Vincenzo Montella’s side, he would not be looking outside Italy for his destination.

"I could have left Fiorentina because I had offers", admitted Jovetic to Sport Mediaset.

"But the president promised to bring in great players for our Champions League aspirations.

"Right now I’m not thinking about a change of scenery, but if I had to leave Florence, I would rather stay in Italy, where I have already learned the language."

Fiorentina may be able to fulfil Jovetic’s Champions League dreams this season, with La Viola currently sitting only four points outside the top three.

Montella’s men have been one of the revelations of the season and have impressed with their impressive performances, which have included wins over AC Milan and Lazio.

And with Jovetic firing on all cylinders, anything may be possible for the club.

The 23-year-old has scored six goals in eleven league games so far this season, despite missing almost a month’s worth of games through injury.
