The race for Toulouse contract rebel Moussa Sissoko is heating up, according to French radio station RMC.

Sissoko’s contract at current club Toulouse expires at the end of the season and the 23-year-old looks ready to take the next step in his career, which looks likely to be a move outside his homeland.

Italian champions Juventus have been paying close attention to Sissoko’s situation at his Ligue 1 club and are poised to offer the midfielder a contract to join up for free in the summer.

But Sissoko, who recently claimed he has no preference for which league he experiences next, is set to have options in the English Premier League too.

Three English clubs have made enquiries about the player, with those in question being Aston Villa, Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur.

Sissoko, who has won six caps for France, is also a popular figure with some Russian sides and did admit he would have no problem playing in the Eastern European country.

So far this season the midfielder has made 17 appearances for Toulouse in Ligue 1, and the French side are still holding out faint hope that he may decide to delay his departure yet.
