Guillaume Hoarau looks to be on his way to China after agreeing terms with Super League side Dalian Aerbin.

The 28-year-old striker had been released from Paris Saint-Germain’s winter training camp in Qatar for talks with four clubs: Dalian Aerbin, Shanghai Shenhua, Everton and Sunderland.

He was made a lucrative offer to head to China, which would see his current PSG salary doubled – and according to French daily Le Parisien, Hoarau has decided to plump for Dalian Aerbin.

The striker is expected to fly to China on Monday to complete his medical and then sign a three-year contract.

Hoarau only had six months left on his contract at the Parc des Princes and was surplus to requirements under Carlo Ancelotti.

It is still somewhat surprising however that he has opted for a switch to China rather than the English Premier League, where Everton and Sunderland would have been happy to have him.

Hoarau joined PSG in 2008 from fellow French club Le Havre.

Dalian Aerbin finished fifth in the Chinese Super League last season.
