QPR boss Harry Redknapp is ready to sell striker Djibril Cisse this month.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, the newly appointed Rs’ boss is not a fan of Cisse and is open to letting him go before the winter window shuts.

Redknapp would then look to bring in a replacement, with QPR having been linked with being involved in the chase for Marseille striker Loic Remy, a player the manager coveted during his time as Tottenham Hotspur boss, former Chelsea hitman Nicolas Anelka and Lille forward Salomon Kalou.

Cisse’s current contract at Loftus Road runs until 2014, with the 31-year-old having joined the Premier League outfit in the 2012 January transfer window.

The former Liverpool man has found the back of the net only three times in 18 Premier League matches this season, and Redknapp is not sold on his qualities.

It remains to be seen where Cisse could end up, but his departure would take pressure off the QPR wage bill.

Redknapp is looking to freshen up his squad in the fight against relegation.
