Brazilian forward Nene is close to leaving Paris Saint-Germain to join Qatari side Al Arabi.

According to L’Equipe, talks between Nene and Al Arabi are at an advanced stage and should result in the 31-year-old earning €5M per year to move to the Middle East.

Nene has slipped down the pecking order at the Parc des Princes under Carlo Ancelotti and is only under contract with PSG until the end of the current season.

It appears that his time at the club will end sooner than that though.

Nene is rated as one of the most naturally talented attacking players in Ligue 1.

He was wanted back in his homeland by Santos and Cruzeiro, but the money on offer in Qatar looks to have turned his head.

Nene joined PSG in 2010 from Monaco. He finished as the top scorer in Ligue 1 last season.
