Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has insisted the French giants do not want to sign Mario Balotelli from Manchester City.

Balotelli’s future at the English champions is yet again in doubt after he clashed with manager Roberto Mancini at a training session earlier this week.

However, Mancini did later insist that he would give Balotelli as many chances as he required as he believes in the striker and the manager gave him a vote of confidence by bringing him off the bench as Manchester City beat Watford 3-0 in the FA Cup yesterday.

Were Balotelli and the Citizens to part ways though, PSG would not be his destination, Ancelotti has insisted.

"Right now, we have [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic and I do not think a player like Balotelli is needed", he told a press conference.

Pressed on whether Balotelli might play with Ibrahimovic though, Ancelotti batted the question away, stressing he has other options.

"Ibra could work with Mario, but this is not the question because we also have [Ezequiel] Lavezzi, [Kevin] Gameiro, [Jeremy] Menez, who can play as a second striker."

Ancelotti also declared that he would not pass judgement on Balotelli and instead would only say that he is "a very good striker".

With Ibrahimovic having been in superb goalscoring form this season, it appears unlikely that PSG would choose to move for Balotelli, who looks set to remain at the Etihad Stadium until at least the end of the season regardless of disagreements with Mancini.
