AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has dubbed Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli a "rotten apple" and insisted there will never be any place for him at the Rossoneri.

Milan have often been linked with making a move for Balotelli, who has regularly been at the centre of much controversy at the Etihad Stadium; just last week he was involved in a training ground scuffle with manager Roberto Mancini.

And Berlusconi believes bringing the 22-year-old to Milan would be a bad move and one which would disrupt a harmonious dressing room.

"In Milan, the human aspect is very important", Berlusconi explained to Antenna Tre.

"If you put a rotten apple in the dressing room it can infect others.

"I have already said what I think of Balotelli.

"He’ll never be part of the dressing room at Milan."

Balotelli has struggled to make a goalscoring impact at Manchester City this season, with only one strike to his name in 13 Premier League matches.

His stock remains sky high though, especially in Italy, where coach Cesare Prandelli counts upon him as a vital part of his Azzurri team.

A return to his homeland in club football any time soon though looks difficult to envisage for Balotelli.
