Inter president Massimo Moratti has confirmed that the club have accepted a bid from Galatasaray for Wesley Sneijder, leaving the ball squarely in the Holland international’s court.

Sneijder has been frozen out at Inter after refusing to sign a contract which would see him take a pay cut of some €2M per year.

As a result he has only made five appearances in Serie A so far this season.

Inter are keen for Sneijder to sign the new contract or leave – and further pressure has been put on the playmaker with the club accepting Galtasaray’s offer.

"We had a meeting with Galatasaray the other day which went well, now it’s up to the player", Moratti told his club’s official site.

Asked about whether he has spoken to Sneijder, Moratti replied: "Only very quickly because it’s not been a big deal, it simply comes down to whether he wants to stay or not. In any case he’s within his rights to either continue with his great contract or to accept our terms – which we’d be happier about – or to move to another club. We’ve left it up to him and we’ll see what happens."

Sneijder is thought to be cool on moving to Galatasaray and would rather make a switch to the English Premier League.

However, should there be no option to make such a switch, the former Real Madrid man may have a tough decision to make.

Sneijder has been linked with a whole host of clubs, but it is not yet clear where he might end up before the transfer window shuts.
