Galatasaray shot-stopper Fernando Muslera admits that playing his football in England would be the realisation of a "childhood dream" as speculation over a potential switch for the Uruguayan picks up pace.

Muslera has been linked with Manchester United recently, with his performances at the Turk Telekom Arena proving impressive.

And the 26-year-old would not be opposed to moving to ply his trade in the English Premier League.

Asked about the interest from England in his signature by Sporuno Gazetea 24, he replied: "Who does not want to play in a league as big as that in England?

"It was my childhood dream."

Muslera has ruled out moving during the current transfer window however, stressing a transfer will have to wait until the summer, when it could indeed be possible.

"But not now", he said.

"At the end of the season, if the club want it, and understands it, why not?"

Galatasaray snapped up Muslera from Italian Serie A outfit Lazio in 2011 and he has quickly established himself with the Istanbul giants.

Muslera helped himself to a Turkish Super Lig title with Galatasaray last season, while he has tasted Champions League football with the side in the current campaign.

At international level, the former Montevideo Wanderers shot-stopper has won 41 caps for Uruguay.
