Ajax have offered in-demand duo Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld new contracts.

Both players have contracts which expire in 2014, meaning they will have just one year left to run on their current deals by the summer.

Ajax are keen to keep both Eriksen and Alderweireld, although they have each been the subject of serious interest from clubs in the English Premier League.

Eriksen has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United, while defender Alderweireld has seen his name mentioned in connection with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, and has admitted joining either would be "progress".

But Ajax want them to stay, boss Frank de Boer insisted at a press conference earlier today.

"Alderweireld and Eriksen have received offers from Ajax", he said.

"I personally hope they stay at Ajax for longer."

Ajax won the Eredivisie title last season, but currently sit third, three points behind FC Twente and PSV Eindhoven in the standings.

The Dutch giants host bitter rivals Feyenoord at the Amsterdam ArenA on Sunday; Ronald Koeman’s men sit fourth, on the same number of points as Ajax.
