Russian Premier League side Rubin Kazan are pulling out all the stops to sign midfielder Yann M’Vila from Rennes.

According to Le 10 Sport, Rubin Kazan have offered the 22-year-old a net yearly salary of €4.5M, with a contract running for four and a half years.

Combined with this, the Russian side are prepared to pay Rennes a fee of €18M for the Frenchman.

The president of Rubin Kazan arrived in France last night for talks with Rennes and armed with the large bid which he is sure will result in the French side allowing M’Vila to begin talks over a switch to Russia.

M’Vila has been chased by English Premier League side QPR in recent days, with the London outfit desperate to take him to Loftus Road.

Other English sides have also eyed up a move for the midfielder, with Everton, Fulham and Reading all thought to be admirers of M’Vila.

Turning down a big pay day in Russia could be difficult for the player though, while Rennes would also pocket a welcome cash influx.
