Inter technical director Marco Branca has rubbished suggestions from Montpellier owner Louis Nicollin that the Nerazzurri have bid for Younes Belhanda.

Nicollin told Turkish media outlet AMK Sport – Fenerbahce have been strongly linked with Belhanda – that he has received a bid of €14M from Inter and has accepted it.

Inter have instantly set the record straight though, dismissing the claims.

"Sorry to contradict the president of Montpellier, but Inter have never submitted a bid for his player, Younes Belhanda", the club’s technical director Marco Branca announced on the club’s official site.

The Moroccan midfielder could leave the Stade de la Mosson during the current transfer window for the right price, but Inter does not appear to be his imminent destination.

Belhanda is one of Montpellier’s top talents and helped the side to win the Ligue 1 title last season. His stock is high and he may follow Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa out of the exit door.
