Juventus made an offer to loan Mario Balotelli from Manchester City, but the Citizens rejected the approach, according to Sky Italia.

The Bianconeri have already secured the services of Spanish striker Fernando Llorente, although he will only land in Turin during the summer when his contract with Athletic Bilbao expires.

Juventus though would like a new striker this month and have been pushing to do a deal with the Basques to bring Llorente in early – to no avail though.

And so the Italian champions tried to bring in Balotelli on loan to fill the gap.

Manchester City though are thought to have slapped an asking price of €25M on Balotelli’s head and are not open to loaning him out.

It is unlikely Juventus will return with such an offer, especially with Llorente in the bag.

AC Milan however are not out of the running for Balotelli yet and could aim to pull a rabbit out of the hat before the winter transfer window slams shut.
