Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti insists he cannot split Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the best player in the world stakes.

Messi has won the last four Ballon d’Or accolades, despite Ronaldo performing superbly for Real Madrid and Portugal.

The debate about who is better, Messi or Ronaldo, appears to split the football world – but Ancelotti is firmly in the middle and unable to choose.

"It is impossible", Ancelotti told Le 10 Sport when asked who gets his vote out of the duo.

"These are two fantastic players. The two best in the world."

The Real Madrid star has consistently been linked with a switch to the Parc des Princes, with PSG one of the only sides on the planet who would be able to afford him.
