Franck Ribery feels that the current Bayern Munich side is the strongest in which he has played.
The German giants cruised to a 3-1 win over Arsenal in the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie earlier this week and confidence is growing at the Allianz Arena that it could be the Bavarians’ year.
And Ribery shares in the confidence.
"This is the best Bayern team in which I have played", he told German daily Bild.
"It is stronger than it has been for a long time.
"Honestly, I would have no problem if we had to play Barcelona in the next round."
AC Milan’s 2-0 win over Barcelona last night means it may well be unlikely that Bayern Munich can come face-to-face with the Catalans in this season’s Champions League.
However, Ribery and co. are not likely to complain about that fact as they target glory at Wembley in May.
