Wesley Sneijder was the best-paid Dutch player in world football last year, according to NUsport.
The Holland international playmaker earned €12.2M during his final year with Italian giants Inter, putting him ahead of Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben in the Dutch footballer earning stakes.
Van Persie saw his earnings increase to €11.85M last year, with the switch from Arsenal to Manchester United playing a big part and catapulting him up the rankings.
The top three is completed by Bayern Munich winger Robben, who earned a total of €9.4M in 2012.
It remains to be seen how moving to Galatasaray will affect Sneijder’s earning power, both in salary and sponsorship agreements.
Van Persie’s transfer to Manchester United is already paying off though, with the striker rated higher than ever.
Robben meanwhile is under a long-term contract at Bayern Munich.
