AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani insists respect for Barcelona is still sky high at Milanello, despite the Rossoneri beating the Spaniards 2-0 in the first leg of their Round of 16 Champions League clash.

The Italians, along with Real Madrid, have ensured that Barcelona have lost three of their last four matches as a sense of crisis grips the Camp Nou.

And Milan are fancied in some quarters to come through their second leg against the Blaugrana.

But Galliani insists that huge respect remains for a side he believes still the best in the world.

"We need to concentrate on the Serie A match against Genoa first, but Barcelona are still the best team in the world, although their form has not been good recently", Galliani told Sky Sport Italia.

Barcelona slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Real Madrid at the weekend.

They host Deportivo La Coruna in their next match.
