Juventus are exploring whether they can terminate Nicklas Bendtner’s loan at the club, according to Italian daily La Stampa.

Bendtner is on a season-long loan with the Bianconeri from English side Arsenal, but has failed to convince coach Antonio Conte of his qualities and has subsequently only featured eight times in Serie A this season, six of those from the bench, without registering a single goal.

He is currently sidelined through injury and was arrested in his native Denmark at the weekend for drinking and driving.

The Danish FA acted quickly, banning Bendtner from international duty for six months.

Now he could suffer a double blow as Juventus look to terminate his loan and send him back to Arsenal.

The 25-year-old would then find himself in limbo at the Emirates Stadium, where he is out of favour, with the transfer window around Europe firmly closed until the end of the season.
