Roma are ready to name their new stadium the "Totti Arena" in honour of long serving striker Francesco Totti.

The Giallorossi are hoping to have a shiny new ground constructed by 2016, which will seat 55,000.



And according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, the capital club are ready to name it in honour of their 36-year-old icon, Totti.

At the weekend Totti moved to joint-second in the list of all-time Serie A scorers and he has hinted at playing on until he is 40.

The striker is hugely loved by the Roma faithful who will surely be thrilled that the club are ready to name the new ground after Totti.

Despite his ageing legs, Totti already has ten league goals to his name this season, from 24 Serie A games, and will be bidding to add to that before the campaign is over.
