The agent of Aston Villa striker Andreas Weimann insists that Italian giants Inter have not yet made a concrete enquiry about his client, but revealed that the 21-year-old would find it an honour to pull on a Nerazzurri shirt.

Young Austria international Weimann has been a bright spot in Aston Villa’s troubled season, with the Midlands giants not yet sure of still being in the Premier League for 2013/14.

Regardless of whether they are though, clubs are already eyeing the brightest talents at Villa Park, of which Weimann is one.

And Inter have been linked with the former Rapid Vienna youngster.

"At the moment there is nothing concrete. I don’t have any contact with Inter", Weimann’s agent Robert Groener was quoted as saying by bold.dk.

"Andreas’ contract expires in 2014, so if it is not renewed with Aston Villa in the summer then a transfer is possible.

"Playing in Serie A? It seems clear that Serie A is less prestigious than the English league, but it would be an honour for Weimann to wear the shirt of a historic and prestigious club such as Inter. But, as I said, there is nothing concrete."
