Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge says that he’s been very impressed by Philippe Coutinho thus far and believes the best is yet to come for the former Inter Milan player.

Both Sturridge and Coutinho are Rodgers’ latest signings for Liverpool and the two have made a great start for the Merseyside giants, notching seven goals in the 14 appearances between them.



"I’ve been very impressed", said Sturridge on Liverpool’s official website. "He sees things very early, he’s got great vision. He’s a very skilful player and he’s got a powerful shot."

Sturridge believes the Brazilian’s best is yet be seen, but the potential of his talents are already manifest. "He’s already showing that he’s got a vast amount of qualities", Sturridge said.

"The best is yet to come from him but you’ll see that he’s a very, very special talent", the Englishman added.

Sturridge believes that Liverpool are set for success in the near future especially with the current team. "You look at Coutinho, you look at Luis, you look at Stewie, you look at Stevie Gerrard and Lucas – those players all have the capabilities to play a killer ball behind a defence", he said.

"I’m sure there’ll be a lot of success for us in the future with the players we have now."
