Current Brazil national team coach Luiz Felipe Scolari states he is keeping the door open when it comes to a possible return to the English Premier League.

Scolari, known in England for his time as manager of Chelsea in 2008/09, has managed a host of top clubs as well as national teams since 1982, including stints with Brazilian top flight sides like Gremio, Palmeiras, and Cruzeiro.

“It was nice to coach there”, Scolari was quoted as saying by Le 10 Sport. “Why not return to the Premier League one day?”

The Selecao head coach has admitted that his stint at Chelsea wasn’t as successful as he’d expected. He was sacked by owner Roman Abramovich after just eight months in charge of the Blues.

“I had some problems with one or two players at Chelsea”, Scolari said. “As I was a South American, I have a different way of looking at things [when it came to football] and it didn’t please some people.”

Scolari’s side have been circling the world as Brazil prepare for the 2014 World Cup, which will be hosted in the country. The Selecao are next due to face Bolivia in a friendly match on 6th April.
