Fiorentina have strongly denied claims by FIFA-licensed agent Guido Di Domenico that they have agreed to sell Stevan Jovetic to Arsenal in the summer.

Di Domenico had insisted that Juventus have dropped out of the running for the Montenegrin, due to the fact that Jovetic has agreed to land at the Gunners for 2013/14.

While there seems little doubt that Arsenal are admirers of Jovetic, La Viola have quickly issued a statement clarifying the forward’s situation and dismissing any transfer talk.

"We have not received a single bid for Stevan", a spokesman for Fiorentina told Italian daily Il Sussidiario.

"We are also not thinking right now about the future of our players.

"Only the final part of the season matters to us at the moment."

Jovetic has been in fine form for La Viola so far this season, registering a goals to game ratio of one in every two clashes in Serie A.

The 23-year-old is under contract with Vincenzo Montella’s men until 2016.
