Juventus midfielder and Italian stalwart Andrea Pirlo has sent out a war cry to his team-mates to progress from the second leg of their clash against Germany giants Bayern Munich in Champions League quarter-final.

The Bianconeri will be aiming to turn things around after a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Bavarians in the Allianz Arena last night.

"We’ll see you back in Turin next week”, Pirlo told Juventus’ official site.

The former AC Milan playmaker also praised the quality of the Bayern Munich side under manager Jupp Heynckes and accepted that the first goal of the match, courtesy of a bolt from the blue strike from David Alaba within the first minute, put them under pressure.

"We should start by congratulating Bayern. They were the better team tonight. Conceding an early goal like that can affect a game of course but they were better in every area.

“We made lots of mistakes, myself as much as anyone, and I’m very disappointed.”

Juventus boss Antonio Conte and his men now want to start again, making fresh plans to overturn the defeat when they host the German outfit at the Juventus Stadium next Wednesday.

“We’ve still got the return leg to play and there’s still hope. We’ll sit down and analyse what happened tonight and then we’ll work out how to turn this tie around”, Pirlo added.
