Serie A giants AC Milan have now joined the chase for the signature of Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes, according to Sportmediaset.

The long-serving Barcelona custodian has announced that he will not renew his contract with the Catalan giants, fuelling speculation as to where he will choose to play next.

Valdes has been linked with a number of clubs from various parts of the world, with Russian heavyweights Anzhi Makhachkala, Brazilian side Sao Paulo and London giants Arsenal all vying to acquire the custodian's services.

But now AC Milan have joined the fray and are intent on getting their man, with the Rossoneri willing to offer €5M for the 31-year-old custodian should they be able to ensure Champions League qualification for next season.
