Karim Benzema’s agent has insisted his client wants to stay at Real Madrid, regardless of whether Jose Mourinho is in charge at the Bernabeu next season or not.

The France international would not be short of options if he chose to leave Los Blancos, with Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain consistently mooted as suitors.

And with Mourinho looking poised to depart in the summer, it had been suggested that Benzema could follow suit.

But the player’s representative, Karim Djaziri has stamped on that talk.

"I’ve said it before and I will repeat it: Benzema is not leaving Madrid", he told Calcio Mercato.

"The possible departure of Jose Mourinho does not change the situation.

"A transfer is not an option."

The 25-year-old has scored nine goals in La Liga for Los Blancos so far this season, while he also hit the back of the net five times in the club’s Champions League campaign.
