Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud believes his boss Arsene Wenger will stay put at the Emirates Stadium beyond the summer, amidst speculation that the French tactician may soon take over the reins at Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.

Wenger’s future is a hot topic at present. It seems the Arsenal boss may even be part of a grand shuffling of managers across Europe.

With Jose Mourinho touted to return to Chelsea and Carlo Ancelotti set to replace him at Real Madrid, Wenger could be the perfect man to take over at the Parc des Princes.

But Giroud believes there is no reason for his boss to jump ship, as the club’s goals are close to being achieved, telling French radio station RMC, "I don’t see why he would leave if a Champions League spot is secured. Everyone knows he contributed to the club and helped it grow."

The French striker adds that Wenger is not the type of person to do things rashly.

"He is someone who makes decisions in a timely manner. Now is therefore not the time to talk about [his future]."

The Arsenal manager, for his part, all but confirmed his stay a few days ago, adding that he is committed to his job.
