Marseille defender and Cameroon international Nicolas N’Koulou has admitted that he does not know where his future lies beyond his stay with the Ligue 1 club.

N’Koulou has been a key player in Elie Baup’s backline strategy for the team this season. Indeed, the Cameroonian has started in all of the club’s 35 league games – a testament to his defensive abilities.

His undoubtedly quality and limitless potential have caught the attention of London giants Arsenal, who have long been linked with making a move to sign the 23-year-old centre-back, while Liverpool are also keen.

But Marseille want to ensure they are paid handsomely if they are to lose such a vital cog in their machine. True enough, they have placed a €20M price tag on his head.

And N’koulou himself is unsure of his future, being quoted by Le 10 Sport as saying, "I am going though a very beautiful time with my club and my attention is focused on the end of the season.

"I am under contract with Marseille. But after that, I do not know what my future holds. I obviously have a career plan, but that’s personal and I will not reveal that here", the Cameroonian added.

N’Koulou’s deal with Marseille sees him tied at the Stade Velodrome until the end of the 2014/15 season.
