Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has revealed that Juventus have not spoken to him about signing talented Montenegrin forward Stevan Jovetic.

La Viola are facing a battle to keep hold of Jovetic, having missed out on Champions League football for next season, seeing third place slip away in heartbreaking fashion last night as AC Milan came from behind to beat Siena 2-1 and put themselves out of Fiorentina’s reach.

Fiorentina won 5-1 away at Pescara – but to no avail.

Jovetic is believed to be high on Arsenal’s shopping list, however Italian champions Juventus have been linked with trying to keep the forward in Serie A.

Prade though has dampened that speculation by insisting he has held no talks with Juventus over Jovetic.

"We have said many times that an answer [over Jovetic’s future] can only be given after a meeting between the president and Jovetic", Prade told Sky Italia.

"Juventus? I have not talked with them because they have never asked to talk", he added.

The 23-year-old is under contract with Fiorentina until 2016, but the Italian outfit may not be able to resist a substantial bid landing on their doormat in the summer.

Jovetic scored 12 goals in Serie A this season for Vincenzo Montella’s men.
