West Bromwich Albion striker Romelu Lukaku believes his future at parent club Chelsea will depend on whether potential Blues boss Jose Mourinho wants him back, but has opened the door to a move to Germany.

Lukaku capped a prouctive season with the Baggies by scoring a hat-trick in the 5-5 draw with champions Manchester United in the final game of the season.

It put the Belgian’s tally at 17 goals in 35 games for West Brom, following a disappointing debut season at Chelsea that saw just eight appearances made.

He was quoted as saying on Extra Time: "If [Mourinho] returns to Chelsea he will call me, right? He has my number.

"They [Chelsea] want to see the development I’ve made at the training camp. I’m realistic. I cannot stop my development."

Lukaku’s rise to prominence has not only given Chelsea cause to recall him, it has also whetted his appetite for higher levels of football.

Those levels also include the platform of international football and with Belgium on course for a long run in the World Cup qualifiers, Lukaku is eyeing Brazil as the epitome of his career so far.

As to his club future, when asked if he would consider a move to a club like Tottenham Hotspur, he added: "At Tottenham? No, you can not, because they’re close rivals with Chelsea.

"Why not go to Germany, to Schalke or Dortmund? It’s not for nothing that Dortmund are in the final of the Champions League."
