FC Copenhagen striker Andreas Cornelius has denied he is looking at a move abroad, insisting the Danish club is the best place for his development.

Cornelius has been raising interest among several clubs in the English Premier League – including Manchester United and Arsenal – both before and after he became the Danish Superliga’s top scorer for the season (18 in 32 games).

Earlier this month, the 20-year-old had revealed he would decide his future at the end of the season, but with Copenhagen wrapping up their 10th league title, Cornelius claims he wants to stay in Denmark.

When asked about Premier League clubs wanting his signature, he told Bold: "I do not concentrate on that. I have a long contract [until 2016] with FCK, so I’m not thinking about those things.

"One must never say never in football, but I do not spend time on it.

"If there is a concrete bid and FCK come to me, then I will think about it. I do not deal with anything before it becomes concrete.

"I am only concerned with my development. I can easily develop myself more at FCK.

"I can still get better, and FCK is now perhaps the best place for me and my development."

The 20-year-old has so far won five caps at international level with Denmark, scoring once. He has been tipped to become a mainstay of the country’s national side.
