Ajax director of football Marc Overmars has confirmed that the Dutch champions are interested in FC Twente winger Nacer Chadli, as the race for the Belgian’s signature heats up.

Chadli has already attracted attention from Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool and Juventus, and the winger’s club side Twente are bracing themselves for offers.

The Tukkers would rather sell abroad than to domestic rivals and have slapped a minimum price of €10M on Chadli’s head for foreign suitors.

Ajax though have not been put off, despite Twente’s stace.

"We are interested in Nacer Chadli, yes", Overmars told Dutch daily De Telegraaf.

"He fits in well with out style of play."

Chadli is under contract with Twente until 2014 and has so far not put pen to paper on an extension.

The Dutch side may well look to cash in on the Belgian this summer rather than risk him running down his contract.
