Bayer Leverkusen president Wolfgang Holzhauser has revealed that the club have reached an agreement with Chelsea for the services of 21-year-old midfielder Kevin De Bruyne on loan for a season, with Andre Schurrle heading the other way.

The Belgium attacking midfielder, who arrived at Stamford Bridge in January last year, was loaned to German side Werder Bremen on a season-long deal in August.

Germany forward Schurrle, who plays for the Lions, is also on his way to the London giants in a permanent move this summer, into which De Bruyne has been thrown to sweeten the deal.

“We have an agreement with Chelsea for Schurrle for an amount which is yet to be determined”, Holzhauser told German daily the Rheinische Post.
