Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has emerged as the latest name on Monaco’s summer shopping list with the offer of a four-year deal being put on the table, according to French daily L’Equipe.

Agger has already courted interest from Italy this summer with his former manager Rafael Benitez having announced his own wish list for Napoli that also includes Lucas Leiva and Martin Skrtel.

The Denmark international very nearly departed for Manchester City last summer, but a financial disagreement meant Agger stayed on at Anfield to become a regular in the starting eleven once again.

And his performances have attracted the attention of Monaco, who have already made a string of signings this summer, most notably snapping up Radamel Falcao from Atletico Madrid.

With 35 league appearances under his belt, Agger helped Liverpool fight hard for a European berth in the table, but it proved in vain as the Reds finished seventh.
