The agent of Brazilian midfielder Paulinho is currently in England, a fact the player well accepts, and it is believed to be to sound out Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur over making a bid for the Corinthians star.
Paulinho was chased incessantly by Italian giants Inter during the January transfer window, but the Nerazzurri failed to close a deal and may miss out again this summer.
Now Paulinho’s agent is testing the water in England to see if Chelsea, where Jose Mourinho has just taken over, or Tottenham, under Andre Villas-Boas, are interested in his client.
"I have been following what is happening, but I know nothing", the 24-year-old told FC Inter News, keeping mum when questioned about the fact.
"True, my agent is in England, but I don’t know anything more."
Paulinho has been a key figure for Corinthians and helped the side to win the Club World Cup last year, defeating Chelsea in the final.
The midfielder is expected to have a big part to play for Luiz Felipe Scolari’s Brazil side in next summer’s World Cup.
