The agent of Napoli striker Edinson Cavani has denied that a deal has been completed for his client to move to Chelsea.
It has been suggested within Italy that Chelsea have reached an agreement with Napoli for Cavani, one which will see the Europa League winners pay a fee of €58m for the player’s services.
However, Cavani’s agent has been quick to pour cold water over the transfer talk.
"There is nothing closed with Chelsea", Cavani’s agent Claudio Anellucci explained to Tutto Mercato, when asked about the growing chatter a deal is done.
Cavani is currently at the Confederations Cup, where he is competing with Uruguay.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has told the hitman to quickly decide his future after the end of the tournament.
Cavani, who scored 29 goals in Serie A for the Azzurri last season as they finished second, has a buy-out clause of €63m in his contract at the San Paolo.
