Liverpool left-back Jose Enrique is helping the club’s new Spanish arrivals Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto to become accustomed to English conditions.

Both Aspas and Alberto were signed from Spanish clubs, Celta Vigo and Sevilla respectively.

Liverpool now have a strong Spanish contingent of five players, consisting of Enrique, Suso and Pepe Reina along with the two new arrivals.

Enrique, who has been with the Merseyside club since 2011, is helping Aspas and Alberto to settle down in their new league.

The 27-year-old has been part of Premier League since 2007, when Newcastle signed him from Villarreal and hence knows the problems one can face from playing in a different country.

He told the club’s official site, "From the start they have been with me all the time and asking me things, which is normal.

"I did it before with other players. I told them that if they need me for anything they have me here. I know at the start and when you change country, it’s difficult when you don’t know the language."

Enrique, who follows Premier League more than La Liga, hopes that the two new Spanish recruits will fare well at the Anfield club, as they did back in Spain.

"Aspas did really well with Celta Vigo and scored a lot of goals. I saw a few games but I don’t really follow La Liga much; just my team Valencia, Levante, Madrid and Barcelona.

"I follow the Premier League more. But I know he’s doing really well and Luis Alberto did really well at Barcelona. Hopefully they will do well here.

"You can’t say much because training is physical now. We do a lot of work with the ball, but now it’s more physical. But you can see Aspas is a really clever player and a good guy as well, like Luis."

Enrique appeared in 29 league matches for Liverpool last season, scoring twice.
