The 21-year-old played two seasons with his former employers before deciding to join the Italian outfit.

The Italy Under-21 international failed to establish himself as a regular with Hamburg after moving from Chelsea in July 2011.

He made just 21 league appearances for the Bundesliga club over a period of two years.

Sala’s new employers, Hellas Verona, are back in Serie A after 11 years, and have already roped in veteran striker Luca Toni and experienced midfielder Massimo Donati amongst others, to prolong their stay in the top flight.
